Hi, I'm Suzanne - an experienced, fully qualified BACP-registered integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. But more importantly, I'm someone who truly understands what it's like to look 'successful' on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, and disconnected inside.
I've been there myself - pouring energy into work, relationships, and doing all the "right" things, while quietly wondering why it still doesn't feel like enough. That's why I'm passionate about helping professional women like you untangle those inner knots: the self-doubt, the people-pleasing, the invisible weight you carry.
In our work together, I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can slow down, explore what's really going on, and begin reconnecting with the parts of you that may have been lost or silenced along the way. You don't have to stay stuck in this place - change is possible.
You seem calm and capable - but your nervous system tells a different story.
As a professional woman, you're used to staying in control. Yet underneath, you may feel tense, wired, or constantly on edge. Thoughts race at night, and it's hard to fully switch off. Over time, this may have started to feel normal - but it's exhausting.
Anxiety isn’t a personal failing; it’s your nervous system doing its best to keep you safe. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s behind that sense of unease and begin to support your body and mind in learning how to regulate again.
I offer a space where you can slow down, feel seen, and begin to reconnect with a sense of safety. When your nervous system feels supported, real change becomes possible.
If you’re ready to stop managing this alone - Let’s see if working together feels like a good fit.
You carry so much for others - but who holds space for you?
You’re capable and dependable, often the one others rely on. But under the surface, you’re stretched thin. The mental load, the pressure to perform, the invisible expectations - it all adds up. Over time, you may lose touch with your own needs.
Overwhelm isn’t a weakness - it’s your body saying, this is too much.
In therapy, you’ll have space to slow down and be met with compassion, not pressure. Together, we’ll explore the patterns behind the overwhelm and gently shift the ways you care for yourself. With time, boundaries strengthen, balance returns, and you reconnect with your own worth.
You’re allowed to take up space too. If this resonates we can explore what support might look like for you.
You’ve worked hard to get where you are - but it still feels like you’re not enough.
Despite your achievements, self-doubt lingers. You second-guess decisions, overthink interactions, and strive for perfection just to quiet that critical inner voice. You may even feel like a fraud, no matter the praise.
These patterns often begin early - when worth was tied to achievement or you didn’t feel fully safe being yourself.
In therapy, we’ll gently explore where these beliefs began and how they continue to shape your life. Through a trauma-informed, relational approach, you’ll be supported not just for what you do, but for who you are. Over time, we’ll build a more grounded, lasting sense of self-worth.
If this speaks to you, book a free 20-minute consultation. Let’s take the next step together.
Counselling is a space for you. A space to pause, reflect, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface -with someone who’s truly listening, without judgement or agenda.
Life can leave us carrying all kinds of emotional weight - anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, relationship struggles, or a lingering sense that something just isn’t right. Counselling offers a safe and confidential place to begin making sense of those experiences. Not to "fix" you - but to understand you.
I work with an integrative approach, which means I draw on different therapeutic theories and methods to best meet your individual needs. At the heart of my work is relationship - building trust, safety, and real connection. I also work in a trauma-informed way, which means I’ll always move at your pace, with care for your nervous system, your boundaries, and your lived experience
I am located within easy reach of Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley, Bovingdon, Berkhamsted, Tring, St. Albans, Watford, Amersham & Chesham.
Additionally, I can offer online or telephone counselling upon request.
I offer both short and long term therapy.
Taking the First Step
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I want to make that process as comfortable as possible. I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation where we can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you’re hoping for. It’s also an opportunity for us both to get a sense of whether we’d be a good fit to work together.
Session Fees
Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at £65.00. To confirm your appointment, payment is requested by bank transfer 48 hours in advance.
Cancellation Policy
I understand that sometimes plans change or unexpected things come up. If you’re unable to attend a session, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows me to offer the time to someone else who may be waiting, and we can find a new time that works better for you. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may still be charged. However, I do appreciate that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can arise, and I’ll always take this into consideration and do my best to reschedule with you.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how therapy works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07851 550007 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
