Coping with Empty Nest Syndrome: Support for Women Adjusting to Change
When children leave home, it can feel like the ground shifts beneath you. Pride in their independence often comes hand-in-hand with loneliness, uncertainty, or even a loss of identity. Many women describe this season as overwhelming wondering “who am I now?”

If you’re coping with empty nest syndrome, you don’t have to face it alone. In this blog, I share gentle guidance on why it feels so hard, how to reframe this transition, and ways to begin reclaiming yourself in this new chapter.

Feeling Anxious or Overwhelmed?
It’s easy to look calm, capable, and successful on the outside. But inside? Maybe you’re wrestling with self-doubt, feeling “never enough,” or dealing with anxious thoughts that won’t switch off, even at night. Perhaps you feel numb or disconnected -or guilty when you try to say no or take a break. Sound familiar? You’re not alone. Many women carry this weight quietly, believing they have to keep pushing through. The pressure to “have it all” can be overwhelming - and exhausting.
